Emma is a Principal Environmental Planner in our Bristol office, and an experienced project manager. She joined LUC in 2004, and specialises in green infrastructure and climate adaptation work, working with both the public and private sectors.

Emma has advised national and local government, and has a comprehensive understanding of environmental policy and practice. She has prepared evidence to inform local plans, and completed research for national government on ecosystem services, natural capital and increasing revenue for designated landscapes.  Emma leads projects on climate adaptation for cities, working with local businesses to deliver green space.

Emma advises local authorities on the EIA, gathering and disseminating complex technical input. She has prepared planning guidance on renewable energy, health, water issues and open space for various government bodies. Stakeholder engagement is integral to her projects; she has good facilitation and public speaking skills.

Outside work: Emma spends time outdoors, cycling, swimming and attempting to grow vegetables. She is a Trustee and Director of the Board at Windmill Hill City Farm, Bristol.
