Jeremy has over 20 years’ experience in planning. He’s one of the leading authorities on sustainability appraisal and strategic environmental assessment, having been involved in over 70 SAs/SEAs to date, acted as expert adviser to the government and drafted the landmark guidance on sustainability appraisal on its behalf.

He has undertaken a number of commissions to research the value of the environment to the economy and works on strategic policy to inform regional and sub-regional planning and the preparation of local plans. He has also worked on several European partnership planning projects, including assessment of land use and transport in Copenhagen and approaches to sustainable development in the Netherlands, Italy and Greece.

An excellent speaker, Jeremy has spread the environmental message for clients such as the Royal Town and Planning Institute, Department for Communities and Local Government, Defra, the Environment Agency, Historic England and Natural England.

Outside work: Jeremy is a season ticket holder at Luton Town FC.
