Jeremy has over 25 years’ experience in planning. He’s one of the leading authorities on sustainability appraisal and strategic environmental assessment, having been involved in over 70 SAs/SEAs to date, acted as expert adviser to the government and drafted the landmark guidance on sustainability appraisal on its behalf.

Jeremy has undertaken a number of commissions to research the value of the environment to the economy and works on strategic policy to inform regional and sub-regional planning and the preparation of local plans. He is particularly adept in understanding the relationships between a variety of social, economic, travel and environmental evidence to inform the preparation of more sustainable local plans.

An excellent speaker, Jeremy has spread the environmental message for clients such as the Royal Town Planning Institute, Department for Communities and Local Government, Defra, the Environment Agency, Historic England and Natural England.

Jeremy is also Managing Director of LUC, with responsibility for overall strategy, management and performance of the company.
