Kate leads our London and Bristol landscape planning teams. She provides landscape planning advice to statutory agencies including Natural England, Natural Resources Wales, Local Planning Authorities and voluntary bodies including the National Trust.

Kate worked with Natural England, Scottish Natural Heritage and Countryside Council for Wales to produce an update to the Landscape Character Assessment Guidance, and prepared guidelines on implementing the European Landscape Convention for Natural England.

She advised the National Trust and Buckinghamshire Council in relation to the High Speed Two (HS2) rail proposals.  She is currently working with HS2 Ltd and the Chiltern review Group to produce an Enhancement and Integration Plan for the high speed rail line through the nationally designated Chilterns AONB.

She was on the Advisory Group for An Approach to Seascape Character Assessment and leads our work in this area as well as our work for Natural England, advising on landscape and visual impact of major infrastructure projects and leading the responses form statutory agencies on landscape and visual effects.
