A new building at Bassett House School in North Kensington has opened after LUC obtained planning permission.
We helped secure planning permission for the conversion of a former dairy, shop and flats to a new school building within a conservation area. The new building enables the school to expand and provides much needed new classroom and, within a significantly enlarged basement area, a specialist performance space and an interactive play zone.
Bassett House School is part of the House Schools Group, which runs three prep schools in West London. LUC has provided planning advice on various projects for the group over the last ten years.
LUC’s Managing Director, Jon Grantham, who led the project, said: “I am delighted to see The Dairy in operation. The headmistress, teachers and pupils are delighted with their new building. We worked closely with the school and officers at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to secure planning consent through delegated powers, with no objections.”
