Coronavirus: LUC Business Response 19.03.2020

LUC has been at the forefront of developing flexible working practices in recent years thus we are well placed to respond to the current uncertainty arising from the Coronavirus. We have established policies and procedures for staff to work remotely without this affecting our service to clients. We have now completed the transition of all staff to work remotely so our offices are now closed. Also in recognition of the unprecedented circumstances society faces, we have taken the following actions to reduce the risk of spreading the virus:

  • All staff will work remotely from home unless required to attend client meetings or visit project sites.
  • Staff deemed at high risk of contracting the virus will self-isolate in line with Government guidelines with immediate effect. Isolated staff will continue to work from home and remain in regular contact with their clients and colleagues. LUC has a robust IT infrastructure in place to support this.
  • If an individual staff member contracts the virus then affected clients will be immediately informed. Workload and responsibilities will be assessed and redistributed among the wider LUC team, ensuring minimal impact on our work for clients.
  • Where possible we will conduct meetings by Skype, Microsoft Teams etc.
  • Where staff are due to make site visits they will contact clients and request their current protocols for access.
  • Travel out of each office region has been restricted/limited as far as sensibly possible.
  • We continue to closely monitor the situation and will update our guidance to employees and communications with clients accordingly.

Please contact us directly if you have any further queries relating to the above.
