LUC produces EIA Report for Glendye Wind Farm application for consent

LUC’s Glasgow based environmental planning team has recently produced an EIA Report for the Glendye Wind Farm on behalf of Glendye Wind Farm Ltd (a joint venture partnership between Coriolis Energy Ltd (CELT) and ESB Wind Development Ltd (ESB)) to accompany an application to Scottish Ministers for Section 36 Consent.

LUC’s specialist EIA team co-ordinated the EIA, working in collaboration with our in-house landscape architects, ecologists, visualisation and GIS specialists, as well as our trusted specialist sub-consultants to undertake the design and subsequent EIA of the Glendye Wind Farm. The application for S36 Consent was submitted on 3 October 2018.

Glendye Wind Farm is located on the Fasque and Glendye Estates, approximately 2km from Fettercairn and 12km from Strachan, Aberdeenshire. If approved, the wind farm will consist of 26 wind turbines with a tip height of up to 149.9m, and a generating capacity of >50MW.  Details of the wind farm proposal including the EIA-Report and supporting documents can be found here.

LUC is highly experienced in preparing EIAs and planning applications for a wide range of renewable energy developments, and can assist in all aspects of the planning process from the early feasibility assessment stages to post application, including Public Inquiry work, and the discharging of planning conditions.
