Sally joined LUC in 2003. She is a very experienced landscape and seascape planner.
Her areas of expertise include developing methodologies in landscape and seascape character assessment; and applying character assessments to inform terrestrial and marine planning and management. She has played a key role in developing landscape sensitivity assessments for renewable energy and other developments, including housing, to help inform strategic planning policy.
Sally’s other specialities include landscape monitoring and managing landscape change. She has produced State of the AONB reports for several AONBs in England and Wales and has a number of national research projects to her name which have monitored the effectiveness of agri-environment schemes on the English landscape.
In her spare time, Sally enjoys exploring both at home and abroad, aerial hooping, mountain biking and hiking.
