Rob joined LUC in 2016 having begun his career as a local authority planning officer. Rob is a chartered town planner with seven years’ experience which includes dealing with residential and commercial planning applications, often in environmentally sensitive locations and in relation to conservation and heritage assets, providing him with a depth of knowledge and political awareness of the UK planning system.

As a Principal Planner at LUC, Rob is involved with both development management and strategic planning projects. He is responsible for the submission of planning applications, for a variety of clients and type of development, including several schools, both independent and publically owned, prestigious sports clubs, and on sites of environmental, heritage and conservation importance, including a World Heritage Site.  His strategic planning experience has included project managing and working on a housing growth options study to contribute to the evidence base for Local Plan development.

Outside of work: Rob is a keen cyclist and occasional triathlete. He also enjoys a trip to the beach whenever he can as he attempts to improve at his latest hobby of kitesurfing.
