Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy

LUC’s Environmental Management System (EMS) was originally registered in February 2011 (BSI Registration Number EMS 566057). It was transitioned to the revised 14001: 2015 standard in June 2018 and was last re-certified in September 2021. LUC is committed to continuous improvement, protecting the environment by meeting its compliance obligations (whether legally-derived or client-derived), and by avoiding pollution.

LUC is also committed to the following objectives, in line with our LUC Strategy and described within the three broad themes of ‘Sustainable Society’, ‘Supporting our Employees’ Sustainability’ and ‘Sustainable Workspaces’.

Carbon Reduction Plan

LUC has joined many other organisations in declaring a climate and ecological emergency. It has reinforced this position by signing the Pledge to Net Zero (PNZ), administered by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and Society for the Environment (Soc.Env). Our carbon reduction plan is below.
