LUC on two BALI National Award winning project teams
LUC is part of two winning project teams at the 2019 BALI National Awards.
The University of Northampton, Waterside Campus won the Principal award for soft landscape construction project. The new campus is home to 14,000 students, with 1,000 students living in the new accommodation village.
The 58-acre brownfield site was formally the home of a large coal-fired power station. LUC’s involvement spanned six years and provided landscape masterplanning and design, public realm, ecology, LVIA and green infrastructure services.
The Garden at 120, Fenchurch Street won the Principal BALI award in the roof garden category. LUC’s services included planting design, pre-selection and specification, planning and inspection to deliver the soft landscape for the building’s 2,200m2 rooftop terrace.
The garden, which is fully accessible to the public, sits 65m above street level and offers 360 views across London’s skyline.
