LUC experts to speak at ISBA webinar on managing historic estates

LUC’s Rachel Haworth and Hannah Gillett will deliver a webinar for ISBA on 24 January, 11.00–12.00. The session, titled Managing historic estates while working towards net zero – a masterplanning approach, will explore how schools can balance conservation with sustainability goals.

Meet the speakers

Rachel Haworth brings over 20 years of expertise in conservation and heritage, focusing on placemaking and quality of life. She has advised on development proposals in sensitive historic contexts and has pioneered methods for appraising conservation areas and large heritage assets.

Hannah Gillett, an Associate Planner at LUC, specialises in managing complex planning projects. With ten years of experience across public and private sectors, she offers expertise in project management, site appraisals, planning applications, and advice on complex developments.

ISBA, with over 90 years of heritage, supports independent schools in managing their estates and operations.

The organisation offers advice and resources to more than 1,300 members, including bursars and senior management staff, helping schools navigate areas like financial management, facilities, environmental sustainability, and compliance.
