LUC announces strong results for 2022
LUC today announced strong results for the year ended 31 December 2022. Turnover increased by 28% to £15 million, and profit pool (profit before tax adjusted for profit-related pay provisions) totalled £1.35 million.
The Profit Before Taxation of £0.67m reflects the intention to pay out 50% of profits generated to the employee/owners.

Under its Employee Ownership Trust structure, LUC employees own the company’s shares. They have a say in the company’s governance through a Board of Trustees. The structure gives employees a financial stake in LUC and ensures that its long-term success is aligned with their interests.
"We are very pleased with our results for 2022. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees, who continue to deliver excellent services to our clients. We are also committed to our Employee Ownership structure, which we believe creates a more engaged and motivated workforce. We are confident that this will continue to drive our success in the years to come."

In addition to its strong financial performance, LUC made significant progress in other areas during 2022.
Notable amongst these was the launch of its Charter, which sets out the wishes of all current and future employees, reflects on LUC’s legacy and establishes the framework within which the Company Board will run the company.
Looking ahead at 2023 and beyond, LUC is confident of continued success. The company is expanding its office in Cardiff, has moved its Manchester office to larger premises, opened a new office in Sheffield, and is investing in innovation and new technology.
LUC is also working on its new company strategy for 2024-2028.
"We are excited about the future of LUC. We have a strong team in place, and we are confident that we can continue to deliver on our mission of creating better futures for nature, people and places."
