LUC was recently featured in Blueprint magazine, a bimonthly publication covering architecture, design and art.
The article spoke about our work at The Level in Brighton, where we were involved from the inception of the stage 1 Heritage Lottery Fund bid and feasibility study through to completion. LUC was lead consultant on the project, as landscape architects, landscape managers and ecologists.
The restoration has won two prestigious awards to date, a Civic Trust Award and Landscape Institute Award. The scheme was a hit with the judges who appreciated the authentic 1920’s style.
Brighton Councillor Gill Mitchell, chair of the council’s Environment, Transport and Sustainability committee, said: “The new-look Level is extremely popular with park users of all ages and a great place to relax and take time out in the heart of the city.”
