Planning Consultancy of the Year

This award recognises consultancies that deliver positive impacts on communities and places.  LUC offers a full range of planning services, from national and strategic policy development to site specific assessment and development management. We also provide impact assessment, research and evaluation services at all levels. We work collaboratively with LUC’s GIS, transport, heritage, ecology and landscape services, as well as with a range of co-consultants.

Our mission is simple: to deliver better futures for people, nature and places.  We achieve this by guiding our clients, as well as influencing national and local policy. Measuring our impact is of increasing importance to our owners: our employees.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, with a team that is 63% women and strong representation at senior levels. We actively support the next generation of planners through graduate programs and apprenticeships.

Award for Use of Digital Technology in Planning

LUC's innovative Herefordshire Natural Environment Evidence project is up for the Award for Use of Digital Technology in Planning. This project showcases how digital tools can enhance the planning system.

Commissioned by Herefordshire Council, the project provides a robust evidence base for the emerging Local Plan. Key components include the Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy, Landscape Character Assessment, Open Space Assessment, and detailed Habitat and Species analysis.

LUC's digital approach goes beyond simple mapping. Interactive features and easy-to-understand data empower planners and stakeholders to make informed decisions. The project prioritises accessibility, ensuring everyone can access vital planning information.
