The London Borough of Tower Hamlets Local Plan is in the final stages of consultation after LUC provided support on the preparation of a comprehensive evidence base to ensure that healthy communities are delivered. Once adopted, the plan will be the key strategic document to guide and manage development in the borough until 2031.
LUC’s input has included extensive evidence gathering on water spaces, green infrastructure and open space needs to ensure that the Local Plan delivers healthy communities to help address poor health and low quality living environments in this densely urban Borough.
LUC Associate Emma Luke, alongside Rosica Kolarova, Spatial Planning Officer from Tower Hamlets, will be co-hosting a workshop at the Young Planners Conference in Manchester next week, where they will be providing attendees with tips on effective planning for healthy happy communities.
