LUC is pleased to share that the Welsh Government has approved the Twyn Hywel Energy Park, a project that will generate up to 92.4MW of renewable energy.
This decision is a significant milestone in Wales' transition to a low-carbon economy.
LUC is proud to have been involved in the project, providing a range of services, including:
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
- Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA)
- Visualisations and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) services
- Strategic Recreation Framework
- Expert witness services
Our team worked closely with Bute Energy to ensure that the proposed development was designed sensitively, considering the surrounding communities, landscape, and environment.
We are committed to helping our clients develop renewable energy projects that both respond to the climate emergency and are sensitively designed for the environment.
This project will result in a net benefit for biodiversity through a Habitat Management Plan, improvements in access to quality green space and participation in recreational activities through a strategic recreational framework and provision of heritage interpretation measures on site.
The Twyn Hywel Energy Park will contribute to Wales' renewable energy targets, provide community benefits to the local area, and create jobs in the region.
We are excited to see this project move forward and look forward to continuing to support the development of renewable energy in Wales.
