Skipton House redevelopment
Skipton House commissioned LUC to conduct an Arboriculture Impact Assessment in support of a planning application for the redevelopment of the island site.
The goal is to establish a mixed-use development scheme of significant scale, to replace the existing vacant and deteriorating Skipton House office building.
Enhancing a sustainable blueprint
The scheme seeks to address the current challenges posed by the vacant and deteriorating Skipton House office building, ultimately facilitating revitalisation and progress in the area.
In 2023, LUC was re-commissioned for a planning application amendment, necessitating updated ecological. This included an updated Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
Support focused on ecological aspects, providing input for BREEAM pre-planning and post-planning reports for commercial redevelopment in the area.
Inspiring growth and revitalisation
LUC provided updated arboricultural support for the planning application amendment. This involved conducting an Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) to assess the impact of the redevelopment on trees.
The assessment aims to ensure sustainable development practices and compliance with regulations in Elephant and Castle.
