Hywel Roberts

Hywel is a Chartered Environmentalist with 22 years of experience in EIA and in guiding developments through the consenting process.  He has worked for both the public and private sector on a wide variety of projects in the road, energy and waste management sectors and has often represented clients at public inquiry, planning committee and examination hearings. Hywel has experience with all major consenting regimes including TCPA, DCO and TWAO.

Hywel’s approach is to work with all parties to minimise environmental impacts, seeking improvement and enhancement wherever it is possible, ensuring that sustainable development is central to the proposals.  He is particularly experienced in negotiating and agreeing mitigation proposals with stakeholders, communities and landowners to ensure, not only that a development is policy compliant, but that the consenting programme is managed and not unduly delayed.
