Integration of the Natural England Green Infrastructure (GI) Framework into an existing GI evidence base
Following the launch of the Natural England Green Infrastructure (GI) Framework earlier this year, LUC has been working with several local planning authorities to explore incorporating the framework into local plan policy.
This work has included examining how the framework's key features may integrate into future GI strategy updates.
We have developed the following roadmap to summarise how local planning authorities may successfully integrate the framework components into an existing GI evidence base.
The framework offers a fantastic opportunity to help further promote the planning and delivery of good quality greenspace, complementing existing and forthcoming planning tools.
