James is adept at designing within and managing tight budgets and programmes, coordinating multiple team members and external consultants. He has strong technical, organisational and communication skills complement his ability to find creative design strategies. He has managed a range of projects at varying scales, from developing initial conceptual proposals through detail design and technical specification to implementation.
James specialises in contextual, imaginative, and human-centred design solutions. He has a particular interest in ecological design within urban environments that weaves in artistic, educational, and playful elements.
Over the course of his career, James has developed specialist experience in public park regeneration, educational sector developments, housing and mixed-use schemes, healthcare, and children’s play.
