Sarah is a chartered town planner with 25 years of experience. She has extensive expertise in strategic policy development, preparing and reviewing planning applications and EIAs and appearing at Local Plan Examinations.

Sarah is a leading authority on Green Belts, having led Green Belt studies for over 45 local authorities throughout England, in addition to commissions for private developers. She has represented numerous local authority clients at Examination as their Green Belt expert.

Sarah has led planning studies at every scale, covering a range of policy issues, such as green infrastructure, strategic growth options, historic environment, renewable energy and climate change.

She has also worked on applications for renewables, mixed-use developments, housing, railways, forestry plans and wetland restoration schemes. Many of these projects have involved complex issues and the coordination of large, multidisciplinary teams.

Sarah was named an RTPI Women of Influence in 2020.
