LUC has been appointed to update the existing Landscape and Settlement Character Study for Blaby District Council.

This study forms a key part of the evidence base to underpin the development of a new Local Plan. A sound evidence base is critical for the district, as it is under development pressure from the nearby city of Leicester and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

The project will involve an update of the existing landscape and settlement character evidence and landscape sensitivity study to help the local authority guide the location of new development.

We look forward to returning to Leicestershire, following our recent landscape evidence work for Charnwood and the Leicester and Leicestershire Landscape and Green Infrastructure study. This project was highly commended at the 2018 Landscape Institute Awards.
