LUC is excited to appoint Doug McNab as Associate Director of Planning.
With more than 16 years’ planning experience in the public and private sectors, Doug will deliver a wide range of policy and research projects with a focus on natural capital, environmental net gain, green infrastructure, climate change and nutrient neutrality.
Doug said: “I’m very excited to join the Planning team at LUC. I am impressed by the range of environmental planning work going on across LUC for diverse public and private sector clients.
“From regional frameworks for natural capital and land use decision-making, to green infrastructure studies and carbon and biodiversity advice for local authorities to site specific advice on biodiversity net gain, climate change mitigation and adaptation and delivery of wider benefits.
“I’m relishing the opportunity to contribute to this work going forwards, drawing on my experience from three years at Defra and previous environmental planning roles in local government.”
Philip Smith, Board Director for Planning, said: “We are delighted to welcome Doug to the team. He brings considerable experience and expertise at a time when our services are very much in demand.
“He is providing additional leadership and project management capability for our 70 strong planning team.”
