LUC on winning University of Exeter campus development team
LUC is delighted to be part of the University Partnerships Programme (UPP) winning team to develop the East Park site at the University of Exeter.
UPP was selected as the preferred bidder to design, build, fund and operate the new residences. LUC’s Bristol team will provide landscape design and ecology services and worked closely with Stride Treglown Architects to produce the proposed site plan.
The East Park site has been marked for development by the University since the 1970s and the plan now is to build circa 1,200 rooms at this location to provide modern, on-campus accommodation within close proximity of central Streatham Campus. Outline planning for the site was granted in April 2017, with a Reserved Matters Application due to be submitted in August 2018. Works are due to commence in January 2019 with the new accommodation set to open in two phases from September 2020 and September 2021.
A public consultation is scheduled to take place in June, where both the University and UPP will share their detailed plans of the new accommodation.
