The Garden at 120 on Fenchuch Street, London, featured on BBC Gardeners’ World on Sunday. We collaborated with Eric Parry Architects and Latz + Partner (concept landscape design) to create the rooftop garden in the heart of the City of London.
LUC provided the planting design, pre-selection and specification, planning and inspection to deliver the soft landscape for the project.
The roof garden design includes all the best aspects of a public space. Members of the public can now sit on a bench underneath a bower of wisteria, 15 stories up in the air suspended among the rooftops of the Square Mile.
Our scheme sensitively combines seasonal herbaceous planting with exposure-tolerant and evergreen grasses, vines and espalier fruit.
The wisteria grove, which is the centrepiece of the scheme, will provide a magnificent display of scented amethyst flower in May and shelter for visitors on hot summer days.
