LUC has recently been commissioned by EDF Renewables to provide landscape and visual advice for the proposed Garn Fach Wind Farm in Powys, Mid-Wales.
The project is the first new large scale onshore wind farm proposal in Mid-Wales since c.2015 and reflects renewed interest and developer confidence in renewable energy development in Wales.
LUC will provide wind farm design and assessment advice for the proposed wind farm, and undertake the landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) to support a Development of National Significance (DNS) Application.
LUC has extensive experience of renewable energy development in Wales and has been involved in over 300MW of successfully consented onshore wind development, ranging from single turbine developments to the award winning Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm.
