Joanna Wright, Director of Environmental Planning at LUC, presented at Scotland’s EIA Conference 2021 this morning.
She delivered a review of EIA’s role in assessing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), prepared by LUC on behalf of ClimateXChange.
It examined the methodologies for assessing GHG emissions impacts, the level of detail included in these assessments, and how they are reported.
The research is framed within the Scottish Government’s target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
Scotland’s EIA Conference is organised annually by Fothergill Training & Consulting (FTC). LUC has been a regular event sponsor and speaker for five years, following the first IEMA & Scottish Government Conference in 2017.
FTC delivers the conference in partnership with the Scottish Government, Historic Environment Scotland, NatureScot, and Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
