St Paul’s Girls’ School has secured a resolution to grant planning permission for the next phase of its buildings programme. The decision was made unanimously by the Hammersmith and Fulham Council Planning Committee.
LUC has been working with the school for two years to review its site masterplan, providing planning services. The design team is led by architects Jestico + Whiles and Bidwells as project manager.
The final masterplan proposals comprise:
- the demolition of a curtilage listed building and part of a Grade II listed building and their replacement with two new buildings
- internal alterations to the Grade II listed Main Building
- erection of a new maintenance building
- reconfiguration of the car park
- landscaping works
We are proud to have worked proactively with the planning officer, alongside the design team and the school, throughout the application process. The scheme will have substantial benefits for the school and the community.
LUC continues to work with the school through the determination phase of a separate application for works to the main entrance area. This will increase accessibility to, and security and safeguarding for the school.
