Bringing history back to life
LUC secured planning permission for the conversion of Amport House, a historic Grade II listed building, into a luxurious boutique hotel.
Our goal was to breathe new life into this heritage asset while ensuring its long-term viability and positive impact on the community.
Creating jobs and a sustainable future
The project will create 80-90 jobs and provide a sympathetically designed hotel that respects the environment.
Sustainable features include biomass heating, reduced water use, and habitat protection for bats. This ensures a thriving Amport House for future generations.
Securing planning permission for sensitive restoration
LUC's planning team secured approval for the conversion, including the addition of a new spa and swimming pool building, while ensuring the sensitive restoration of the original architecture.
Minimising ecological impact
Our ecologists conducted a thorough assessment to minimise disruption to the natural environment.
The design protects existing trees and incorporates features to safeguard bat habitats.
Sustainable design
LUC supported Tate + Co and Marian Boswall Landscape Architects to incorporate sustainable features.
The project utilises existing buildings, reduces water usage, and implements a biomass heating system, ensuring a low environmental footprint.
