LUC held a seminar in Manchester this week for local authority planners involved in Environmental Impact Assesment projects, recognising the challenges EIA development presents.
The seminar helped local authority representatives from across the north of England by sharing best practice in Environmental Statement Review.
Our EIA experts welcomed authorities including Sheffield City Council, High Peak Borough Council and Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council to help draw out issues and challenges they face.
We covered:
- Key issues and challenges in dealing with EIA development
- Environmental Statement Review and the need for competent experts
- Lessons learned from the application of the 2017 EIA Regulations
- Key findings from our experience reviewing almost 200 Environmental Statements
The session included lots of questions and engaging discussion.
