Joanna Wright, Director of Environmental Planning at LUC, is helping to deliver a two-day workshop on climate change with the Netherlands Commission for Environmental Assessment (NCEA).
The session will address climate change in relation to Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) in Jordan.
Goals for the session include:
- Raising awareness and understanding on how to address climate change in ESIA
- Motivating practitioners to apply international good practice in this area
- Facilitating exchange between practitioners working on the same topics, and fostering professional community development
Joanna will deliver the session in person from Amman, alongside Bobbi Schijf from the NCEA and local ESIA consultants working in Jordan.
Other organisations involved include Jordan’s Ministry of Environment (MoEnv) and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The session will take place between 3–8 July. It is part of a wider series of training and workshops, which will also include input from Joanna.
